Open Studios and the Caversham Arts Trail

May's Barn will opening again this year, featuring work from Charles' 2010 Collection of life studies, as well as some more recent experiments in Landscape painting, to which Charles has returned quite recently.

There are two separate events in which Charles is involved this year. The first is Open Studios 2010 which covers the whole of West Berkshire and North Hampshire. As well as opening Mays Barn Charles will be mounting a small exhibition of silhouettes in Newbury Library and doing a silhouette cutting demonstration in Newbury market on the morning of Thursday 6th May (10am - 1pm). The second event is the new Caversham Arts Trail (CAT) which features a number of artists based in and around Caversham. As part of this event Charles will doing a silhouette cutting demonstration in Mays Barn on Sunday 16th May (11.30 - 12.30). Mays Barn is venue no 6 on the CAT map.

In all, Mays Barn will be opening on seven dates this year:
  1. Monday 3rd May (bank holiday) - Open Studios only
  2. Friday 7th May - Open Studios only
  3. Saturday 8th May - Open Studios and CAT
  4. Sunday 9th May - Open Studios and CAT
  5. Friday 14th May - Open Studios only
  6. Saturday 15th May - Open Studios and CAT
  7. Sunday 16th May - CAT only (silhouette day)
Times are 11am until 5pm daily.

If you would like to view the barn outside these times please do call the make an appointment. The exhibition will be available to view anytime from 3rd - 16th May.
